Damaged Waldhorn pipes from the Victoria Hall, Handley.

One of the 16 ft Waldhorn pipes before repair in our workshop

Here are some before and after pictures of repairs carried out on a 16ft Waldhorn from the Victoria Hall, Hanley.

Originally named a Contra Fagotto, the pipes were made by Peter Conacher of Huddersfield in 1888.

During this time the pipe shop foreman was a Mr R Jackson.

By happy chance, we have quite a few of his tools in our workshop and some of them were used to repair these reeds.

It may have been this gentleman who made them originally! His name stamp can be seen on some of the pipes.

The repaired Waldhorn, ready to ho back to Hanley.
