We were invited by Rob Rowley of Goetze and Gwynn Organ Builders to restore these facade pipes for a one-manual Georgian organ in St John's Chapel, Chichester.
St John’s is a rare example of a proprietary chapel and the organ was built in 1813. Dismantled and rebuilt in 1970, the instrument is to be restored to its original form on a gallery.
We made resonators for a Trumpet 8' and Oboe, all copied from details of other work by England and a mixture is to be made, too. Odd pipes that have survived will be given as samples so we can faithfully copy them. Important and interesting work for our team
